Order room cleaning

For sustainability reasons, we do not clean our rooms every day. This means we can avoid unnecessary room cleaning and save an enormous amount of water and cleaning agents. In addition, you support our sustainability project in Malawi with every room cleaning you save.

Of course, you don't have to do without your room cleaning completely. You know best when your room needs cleaning, so you have until 10:00 a.m. every day to order it at reception or via your digital companion.

Convenient self-check-in

You can check in with us around the clock using your mobile phone, laptop etc. or at one of the terminals in the lobby.

All you need is your reservation number, which you will receive from us in advance by email.

If you still need help checking in, our reception staff will be happy to help you, and we are also available by phone around the clock.

Christian Herzog hands over the Hotel Goldener Knopf to Coffee Fellows Hotel GmbH

The hotel was successfully run by Christian Herzog for over 18 years. The traditional hotel will now be taken over by the Munich coffee shop and hotel operator Coffee Fellows from 1 March 2024.

In our listed building ensemble, we can accommodate our guests in 68 rooms and spoil them with culinary delights in the newly leased "Restaurant Knöpfle".

Coffee Fellows will now gradually adapt the hotel to the brand standard. This stands in particular for a sustainable and modern hotel concept. Like all other hotels in the group, the Goldener Knopf is to be certified by Green Sign in the near future. (All sustainable implementations, such as fair trade care products, plastic-free breakfasts, the use of green electricity and the endeavour to create zero waste, are examined in detail during the certification process).

Coffee Fellows now operates a total of 8 hotels, 3 of which are already run under the Coffee Fellows brand. As in our coffee shops, our team welcomes our guests as if they were friends and is happy to be your host. True to our motto FEEL AT HOME.

Directly on the Rhine with a view of Europe's longest covered wooden bridge and at the same time right in the centre of Bad Säckingen. Paid parking spaces are available directly at the hotel, subject to availability. An e-charging station is also available for a fee, subject to availability.

Our hotel is steeped in history: the historic house was first mentioned in a document in 1456, and Joseph Victor von Scheffel - author of the world-famous epic poem "Der Trompeter von Säckingen" - also enjoyed spending his leisure time here.

We are a non-smoking hotel on our way to becoming ever more sustainable, which is why you will not find any minibars in our rooms as standard, in order to constantly improve our CO2 footprint, among other things. We rely on a selection of fair care products and a balanced breakfast menu with responsibly sourced coffee. We are digital, which means you can check in online in advance to avoid unnecessary waiting times. With us, all guests are friends, which is why we treat you on a first-name basis.

Our roof terrace is open daily until 9 pm in fine weather for chilling out, sunbathing or workation.
Enjoy the view of the Rhine, the Swiss bank of the Rhine and the historic wooden bridge.
